Pontoon 2009/10
This season we are running
a Football Pontoon competition through the Football Club to help raise
funds for the club.
Football
Pontoon works by randomly selecting one football team per participant
from the Coca-Cola Leagues One and Two.
All
goals scored by a team in any weekend (Fri - Mon incl.) fixture are
totalled until a team reaches exactly 11 goals. Both league and cup
games will count. If more than one team reaches 11 goals at the same
time, the prize pot is shared. If a team exceeds 11 goals, they carry
on until their team has scored 21 goals, unless another team reaches
11 goals beforehand. If they then exceed 21 goals, they continue onto
31 goals and so on, in multiples of ten. If your team does not
play over the weekend period, then you will be awarded 2 goals.
The
teams selected from the Coca-Cola Leagues One and Two are randomly
selected by computer for each participant.
Each
time the prize is won, the teams are re-drawn for everyone, so you
should not have the same team consecutively.
Using
Leagues One and Two, we will begin on the weekend of August 29th
until the end of the season. The charge for participating is £1-00 per
week or £30-00 if paid in full before the pontoon competition
commences. If paying in full, please attach a cheque, payable to
Castlecroft F.C.
The prize pot gives a
percentage to the football club and the remainder is split with 75%
going to the winner(s) and 25% going to the team(s) with the least
number of goals scored in the same period.
